Martha Edelblute

Martha L. Edelblute, 97, of Ostrander, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Delaware Court Healthcare Center,

A graduate of Watkins High School, she worked as a Payroll Clerk with Sunray Stove Company in Delaware for over 30 Years. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, she loved tending to her flower gardens and square dancing and was a longtime volunteer at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Born July 8, 1924 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Loretta (Fath) Adelsberger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Rob Lind; sisters, Lucille (Leonard) Herr and Margaret Ann McKitrick and her brothers, Edgar (Bernice) Adelsberger, Tom (Mary Alice) Adelsberger and Bob Adelsberger.

On September 4, 1946 in Marysville, she married her loving husband of 75 years, Arthur C. Edelblute and he survives in Delaware. She is also survived by her daughters, Sharon (Bob) Coen of Malvern and Janet (Dan) Mason of Johnstown; grandchildren, Mike (Nikki) McCarty, BJ (Claudivan) Ribeiro, Greg (fiancé, Angie Tudor) Mason, Nick (Jen) Mason and Bethany (Brian) Comisford; several great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Peg Adelsberger of Athens and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Marysville. Rev. Fr. Kevin Kavanagh will officiate and burial will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel 621 W. Fifth St. Marysville.
