Alfreda Kleiber

Alfreda Lydia Louise Kleiber, 83, of Marysville, died Friday January 20, 2017 surrounded by her family at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus. Born August 1, 1933 in Union County, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Rosina (Rausch) Nicol. On October 16, 1954 she was married to Herbert C.A. Kleiber by Reverend Edward Hoeferkamp. They would share over 51 years of marriage before his passing on May 14, 2006. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters-in-laws. Baptized August 13, 1933 and confirmed March 30, 1947 by Pastor August Gerken, Alfreda was a faithful member of St, John's Lutheran Church. A 1951 Graduate of Marysville High School, she was a true farmer's wife and could be found helping her husband Herb and her son tend to the farm, even on the tractor helping with the spring plant or the fall harvest. She enjoyed gardening and canning, loved playing Euchre and adored her cats. Surviving are her children, Sharon (Roger) Wagner of Marysville, Kenneth Kleiber of Marysville; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Donald (Loretta) Kleiber and Leila (Charles) Davisson and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Reverend Jacob Heino will officiate and burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home-Mannasmith Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church Organ Fund or the Lutheran Hour in care of the funeral home.
