Alice Loving

Alice F. Loving, 77, of Galion and formerly of Marion, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by her family.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she started her career in data entry and processing at Marion General Hospital in 1971. She would continue for 39 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2010.

A faithful and active member of the Victory Center Church of God, Alice enjoyed traveling and shopping, so day trips to Holmes County covered both a small getaway and some shopping at all the local stores and flea markets. She also loved traveling Ocean City, MD and especially to Arizona to visit her sister so they could travel together throughout Arizona and California. Having a love for southern gospel music, she attended concerts whenever possible. She was also an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Born December 17, 1943 in Blenheim, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Fiedler) Boyd.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Loving of Galion; a son, Richard (Jessica) Loving of Marion; grandchildren, Garland (Nichole) Loving II, Renee (David Focht) Wilde, Clayton Rivers IV and Gerald Loving; great grandchildren, Alaya, Gabriel, Ava, Zach, Dave and Skye; a brother, Raymond (Dawn) Boyd of Steilacoom, WA; a sister, Frances Boyd-Martin of Mesa, AZ and 10 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Victory Center Church of God 1190 E. Fairground Rd. Marion. Reverend Patrick Demuth will officiate and burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Victory Center Church of God. Arrangements are being handled for the family by Wilson Funeral Home, Marysville.
