Barbara J. Fielder, 82, of Marysville, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
She worked as a nursing aid and housekeeper for various nursing homes in the Marysville area and attended the New Horizons Baptist Church. An avid reader, she also enjoyed watching O.S.U. football, NASCAR, and the classic, old westerns and Christmas movies. In her younger years, she and Callas loved going fishing, but most of all, she cherished her time spent with her family.
Born February 1, 1940 in Richwood, she was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Eloise M. (Milligan) DeBolt. On July 30, 1971 she married her husband of 44 years, Callas Fielder, Jr and he preceded her in death on July 30, 2015. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death her sister, Peggy Stover; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Gail Gregory and her brother, Harold “Johnny” DeBolt, Jr.
She is survived by a son, Michael Fielder of Columbus; sisters, Sandra Wurstbaugh of Marion and Karen Saylor of Columbus; along with numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Barb’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time and burial will take place at a later date at the Beech Hill Cemetery in Southside, WV. Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel is assisting the family. If desired, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Barb to the Friends of the Marysville Public Library.
