Barbara Morris

Barbara Ann Morris, 73, of Kenton and formerly of Richwood, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her residence. A graduate of Dennison High School in Cleveland, she worked as a secretary with DayLay Eggs for many years, but Barb's most important job was being a loving mother and devoted "Damaw" and "Meemaw" to her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, flowers attending services at Grace Baptist Church in Byhalia and cherished her time spent with family. Born November 1, 1942 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Dolores M. (Anderson) Placack. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Morris, whom she married June 28, 1964. Also preceding her in death was a son, Roy D. Morris and two sisters. Surviving are her children, Michael (Glenna) Morris of Marysville and Rhonda (Scott) Maxie of Richwood; grandchildren, Joey (Sarah), Sam, Shawna, Josh, Jessica and Willy and her great grandchildren, Mia, Emelia, Emerson, Jada, Jazlynn and Eleanor. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Mannasmith Funeral Home. Pastor John Ramsey will officiate and burial will follow at the Claibourne Cemetery.
