Betty Joan Michael

Betty Joan Michael, 91, of Marysville, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Memorial Gables.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was a loving homemaker for her family. Betty was formerly active with the Windsor Community Seniors and the Marysville Moose Lodge. She enjoyed harness racing and playing bingo, however her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Born November 14, 1932 in Belle Center, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Bertha (Burkheimer) Manahan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Rolland Farrington and John Joseph Michael; a granddaughter, Tonia Kilfian; and her sisters, Martha Manahan and Mary Krause.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Glen) Wright of Orland Park, IL and Barb (Monty) Kilfian of Holiday, FL; granddaughters, Tahnee (Robert) Hales and Ashley Wright; great grandchildren, Keatin (Jodi) Hales, Kennae Hales and Arianna Wright; and a great-great grandson due in August.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, no calling hours will take place and graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 18, 2024 in the Oakdale Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Ohio’s Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
