Blanche Watkins

Blanche M. Watkins, 89, of Marysville, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her residence.

A 1950 graduate of East Liberty High School, she worked at Harding Machine and Screw Company in East Liberty for over 36 years, retiring in 1987. She then went to work at Millcreek Insurance in Marysville for 22 years, retiring in 2010.

Blanche attended the Marysville First United Methodist Church, she enjoyed bowling, traveling, fishing with her husband and loved going out to eat.

Born September 25, 1932 in Logan County, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Jennie (Baker) McColloch. On September 13, 1959 at the East Liberty Church of Christ, she married her husband of over 38 years, Forrest M. “Shade” Watkins and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Lewis McColloch and Robert L. McColloch, Sr. and his wife, Beulah; sisters, Betty and husband, Harold Johnson, Gladys and husband, Richard Russell, Ruby and husband, Charles Montgomery; nieces, Monna Coles and Sandy Johnson; nephews, Richard Johnson and his wife, Patty, Dave Nicol, John Coles, Robert “Pup” McColloch, Jr., Keith Montgomery and a great niece, Janel Nicol.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ron (Betty Thornton) Johnson of West Mansfield, Deb Nicol of Marysville, Bruce (Karen) Johnson of Raymond, Nancy (Dan) Pry of Galena, Catheryn (James Smith) Whitmore of Lakeview, John Phillip (Cindy) McColloch of East Liberty, Ginny Montgomery of East Liberty and Sandy Wilcox of East Liberty; numerous great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews and her caregivers, Tina McDonald, Aleiah McDonald, Maxine McFarland and Judy Morgan.

Friends may call from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel 621 W. Fifth St. Marysville. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M.
