Bonnie J. Blair

Bonnie J. Blair, 76, of Delaware and formerly of Athens, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a long illness.

A devoted wife, mom and mama, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She adored each and every one. Bonnie was also known to enjoy a Pepsi or some dill pickles from time to time.

Born June 13, 1948 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Cora (Hunkerford) Lee. On December 2, 1973, she married her husband of over 35 years, Donald T. “Doc” Blair, and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, June Cain, Sandra Riley, Lola “Sue” Bobo, Connie Mayles, Faye Sager and Nola Lee; and a brother, Robert (Donna) Lee.

She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Blair of Ostrander and Missy Blair of Delaware; grandchildren, Kaytelinn Blair, Tray Neilson and Kaydence Castle; her sisters, Ida Clark of Athens, Flossie (Howard) Keys of The Plains and Tammy (Rick) Rosser of New Marshville; a brother, Chuck (Lyn) Lee of Athens; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, no calling hours will be held. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Bates Cemetery in Athens.
