Bruce A. Metz

Bruce A. Metz, 55, of Marysville, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Spring Meadows Care Center in Woodstock following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

A resident of the Marysville area most of his life, he also lived in Imlay City, MI for several years. He graduated from Imlay City High School in 1987 and attended William Tyndale College. Having a love of music, he sang in the choir during high school and college and enjoyed playing the guitar. He also worked at the movie theater in Imlay City, and formerly attended the Friends Church and the Freewill Baptist Church in Marysville.

Born December 19, 1968 in Marysville, he was the son of Wesley and Josephine (Watkins) Metz. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2022 and a brother, Michael Metz in 1970.

Bruce is survived by his father, Wesley Metz of Marysville; a sister, Patsy (Tim) Campbell of Marion; along with his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel is assisting the family and condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
