Bruce Strickland

Bruce Strickland Bruce Strickland, 79, of Broadway, died Monday, December 8, 2014 at Select Specialty in Columbus. Born January 24, 1935 in Columbus, GA, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Emma Lou (Odom) Strickland. On January 27, 1958 in Cambridge, he married Shirley (Yurko) and she survives in Broadway. Also surviving are his children, Jeff (Peggy) Strickland of Raymond, Anthony (Sheree) Strickland of Arkansas, Sheri Strickland of Broadway, Andrea Hicks of Broadway and Angie (Paul) Riddle of Marysville; grandchildren, Andy, Heath, Heather, Storm, Emily, Taylor, Bodie, Tanner, Macey, Riley, Kendal and Gunner; great grandchildren, Chloe, Addison and Bailee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter, a brother, Robert and a sister, Betty. A Pentecostal minister for 60 years, he most recently served the Church of God Prophecy. Bruce enjoyed singing, playing the piano and guitar, reading his Bible and reading about history, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Mannasmith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Broadway Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home.
