Carolyn V. Amrine Carolyn V. Amrine, age 76, of Marysville died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Heartland of Marysville Nursing Center following an extended illness. A loving homemaker and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carolyn was a successful Avon representative in the community and formerly worked at Scotts and Shoe Factory Outlet. She was a faithful member of the Milford Center United Methodist Church and was a 1953 graduate of Union Township High School. She enjoyed reading, playing cards with her family and crocheting and regularly donated afghans to her church and the nursing homes in town to give away to those in need. More than anything she loved traveling, oftentimes spontaneous, and created many wonderful memories with her family. She was born October 12, 1935, in Milford Center to the late Edward and Madge Bill Gansheimer. She married Eugene Amrine on December 11, 1954, at the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church, and he preceded her in death on April 14, 1998. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jim, Tom, and Dick Gansheimer. Survivors include her loving son, Larry Amrine, and his girlfriend, Elaine Nicol, each of Marysville; 3 grandchildren, Shaun (Lisa) Amrine, Shannon (George) Hurbanek, and Shawna (Ben) Burns; 5 great-grandchildren, Carly, Sydney, George III, Katelyn, and Grant; her sister, Gloria Rutherford, Pickerington; her brother, Paul "Bud" (Ruth) Gansheimer, Marysville; several in-laws, nieces, and nephews; and her church family. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Mannasmith Funeral Home where the funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Andy Albertini will officiate and burial will take place at Union Township Cemetery, Milford Center.
