Carolyn “Sue” Kirkpatrick, 81, of Marysville, passed away peacefully at the O.S.U/Wexner Medical Center in Columbus on Thursday, July 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
A 1958 graduate of Chuckery Darby High School, she went on to work in chrome plating at Ray Lewis & Sons for 35 years. Sue enjoyed bowling, playing cards and board games, puzzles, listening to her records, mostly old country music, especially Jim Reeves. She also dearly loved her cats, along nearly all other animals, but most of all, she looked forward to her time spent with her family.
Born September 24, 1939 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Manuel M. and Ruth A. (Evans) Daum. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Manuel Daum and a brother-in-law, George Bright.
She is survived by her son, Rusty (Robin) Louck of Delaware; her daughters, Penny (George) Elliott of Lima and Roxanna Flowers of Marysvillle; grandchildren, Justin (Sarah) Louck, Tara Nicol, Renae (special friend, Josh Howell) Louck, Derek Louck, Suzanna (Brian) Collins, Heaven (Caleb Sullivan) Parnell, Tiffany Sloan and Brittany (Johnny Rausch) Brashears; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and a great-great grandson on the way; a brother, Willard (Martha) Daum of Powell; a sister, Christine Bright of Marysville; a sister-in-law, Wanda Daum of Unionville Center and her dear friend, Alice Holloway.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Pastor Robert Jeffers will officiate and burial will follow at the Unionville Center Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
