Charles David Crevison Charles David Crevison, age 66, of West Mansfield died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center following a serious one-month illness. He was retired from Logan County Children Services where he had worked as a maintenance man and was formerly employed with Durez Plastic in Kenton. As a teenager and young man in Vinton County, Charlie helped support his family by working in the coal mines. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing and collecting guns and World War II memorabilia. He and his wife cared for 12 foster children throughout the years. He was born November 17, 1946, in Rushsylvania to the late George and Ina Payne Crevison. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Don Crevison and Frank Crevison, a sister-in-law, Gini Crevison, and a brother-in-law, Bob Reynolds. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Janet Clapsaddle Crevison, to whom he was married on October 22, 1967, at the East Liberty Church of Christ; his son, Eric (Crystal) Crevison, Lakeview; 3 grandchildren, Aidan M., Lilian R., and Trevor C.; 3 sisters, Lois Reynolds, Rushsylvania; Daisy (Soap) Green, West Mansfield; and Julia Thompson, Waverly, TN; 2 brothers, Doug Crevison, Columbus; and John Crevison, West Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Jennie Crevison, Smyrna, TN; 2 brothers-in-law, Bob (Janet) Clapsaddle, East Liberty; and Norm Clapsaddle, West Mansfield; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Mannasmith-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home, West Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the West Mansfield United Methodist Church.
