Clayton E. "Gene" Brown Clayton E. "Gene" Brown, age 53, of London died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Mount Carmel West, Columbus, after the discovery of cancer just one week ago. A construction worker prior to suffering a serious back injury, Gene was always working on some project or tinkering around his home. He enjoyed working on cars and especially loved music and playing guitar. He was born March 9, 1957, in Marysville to the late Phillip and Betty Griffith Brown. He was preceded in death by his sister, Vivian L. Mullins. Survivors include 2 daughters, Claytona (Larry) Ullery, Urbana; and Emily Brown, age 13, Grove City; 3 grandchildren, Jayden, Ethan, and Kyley; a brother, Steve Brown; 2 nephews, Brian (Janae) Mulvaine and their son, Conner, of Marysville; and Jonathan (Jessica) Mullins, and their daughter, Hemmi, of Richwood; and many friends. The family will hold a potluck gathering to celebrate Gene's life on Saturday, January 29, 2011, from 1-5 p.m. at the Dover Township Building, 16650 Church St., New Dover.
