Daria Lee Roberts, 69, of West Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A 1969 graduate of Logan Hills High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio Northern University 1973.
Daria was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was passionate about her chosen profession of psychiatric nursing and worked at Marion General Hospital in the mental health unit for 30 years. She loved and taught everyone around her to love and respect all living creatures. Her compassion for the broken, forgotten and lost was seen in not only her work with mental health, but also on her little farm. She rescued and cared for many cats, dogs, birds and of course her chickens for many years. She loved spending time on her farm caring for the animals and her gardens. She was a gentle woman with the strength of steel, soft spoken and quiet, humble and forgiving. She guided her children through all of life's ups and downs by asking them questions to seek their own answers. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her sisters, with whom she spent every holiday. She also loved to travel. She and Jim took numerous cruises and adventures together and made many lasting memories, one of her favorites being Alaska or just about anything outdoors.
Born October 2, 1951 in Logan County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Alonzo and Marilyn D. (Bailey) Clingerman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister Dayna.
She is survived by her loving partner of more than 30 years, Jim Doolittle, of West Mansfield; her children, Brandon (Lonni) Roberts, Dustin (Wendy) Roberts, Renee (Michael Wood) Doolittle, Robyn Jackson and Ronda Blackman; grandchildren, Mason and Landon Roberts, Hayden Early, Reise and Rylee Anderson, Michael (Erika) Lockwood, Lizzie Farrell, Elijah and Adelaide Hughes, Cole Blackman, Caleb Blackman, Bailey, Skylar, Riley, Sydney and Peyton Jackson; great grandchildren, Morgan, Elijah and Kameron Lockwood; her sisters, Robin (Roger) Goff and Rory (Mike Horvath) LeVan; nieces, Ciara (Ryan Harman) Goff and Cheyenne and Raistlyn LeVan along with numerous cousins and other extended family and friends.
