Dixie L. Baldwin Dixie L. Baldwin, age 77, of Marysville died Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Heartland of Marysville. A loving homemaker, Dixie served as a Childcare Provider in her own home to many families throughout the years. She dearly loved her family and treasured every child she cared for whether they were family or not. Dixie often crocheted baby blankets for expectant mothers and will be remembered for always having a smile or an "I Love You" to share for anyone she knew. Through any heartache in her life and through her recent health problems, Dixie's smile never faded. She was born January 30, 1936, in Kenton to the late James and Kathryn Dennis Eaton. She married Clarence Richard "Dick" Baldwin on November 30, 1953, and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2004. She was also preceded in death by a son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter in 1983, Cameron and Vickie Baldwin and their daughter, Jennifer, a son, Nathaniel Baldwin, in 2004, a grandson, Gavin Baldwin, a great-grandson, Tyler Evan Shirk, and her sister, Patricia Eaton. Survivors include her three children, Clayton (Tammy) Baldwin, Kenton; Tami (Bobby) Vaughters, Forest; and Nicholas James "Jamie" Baldwin, Marysville; daughter-in-law, Katie (Phil) Gwynn, Kenton; 12 grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Allen, Clay (Ashley) Baldwin, Aaron Baldwin, Jessica (James) Ritzma, Julia (Chris) Roach, Jeanette (Josh Altvater) Vaughters, William (Kaylee) Baumgardner, Brandon Baumgardner, Mickayla Baldwin Gwynn, Gracie Baldwin Gwynn, Ana Baldwin, and Nico Baldwin; 17 great-grandchildren, Brady, Aubrey, & Brooklynn Allen, Jake & Jax Baldwin, Conner Lee Shirk, Jason, Kaylee, Joshua, Justin, & Christopher Ritzma, Jayden & Morgan Roach; Cameron & Adrian Altvater; and Jayden & Tempest Baumgardner; a great-great-grandson, Jayden Matthew Ritzma; and her brother, Dennis (Linda) Eaton, DeGraff. Friends may call from 4-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Mannasmith Funeral Home, Marysville, where a funeral procession will form at 6:30 p.m. Chaplain Pamela Lamb-Hart of Heartland Hospice will conduct a sunset graveside service at 7:00 p.m. at York Cemetery, York Center.
