Estel Ray Pack, 91, of Marysville, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024 at his residence.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed his time spent with his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked as a machinist with McCord’s in London and later with Parker-Hannifin/Dennison. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3320, was a member of the American Legion Post 79 and formerly served as a member of the Union County Honor Guard.
Born November 3, 1932 in Noris, KY., he was the son of the late Merida and Gypsy (Thompson) Pack. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Breidenbach and a grandson, Keith Lloyd.
On September 19, 1972 in Marysville, he married his wife of nearly 52 years, Rozella (Smith) Pack, and she survives in Marysville. He is also survived by his children, Glen (Cheryl) Pack of Mechanicsburg, Sandy (Jay) Bradshaw of Springfield, Debbie (Kevin) Housel of Anna, Gary (Angie) Pack of Marysville, Joyce (Don) Cauley of Woodstock and Kristi (Ty) Inskeep of North Lewisburg; grandchildren, Gwen (Shane) Hughes, James (Molly) Lloyd, Jessie (Daniel) Houston, Brandis Pack, Gina (Joe) Morgan, Nikki (Raaj) Mukherjee, Ashley Peake, Daniel (Ashly) Persinger, Cheryl Persinger, Derek (Demi) Pack, Chelsie Pack, Brandon (Chelsea) Colwell, Zach Cauley, Kaitlynn (Shawn) Rogan, Mara Rogan and Brad (Kanto) McPherson; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Bob) Fessler of the Cincinnati area; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Pack of Marysville.
Services to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Pastor Paul Mills will officiate and burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery where Military Honors will be conducted by the Union County Honor Guard.
