Gladys Louise Amrine Gladys Louise Amrine, age 91, peacefully left this world and entered the arms of Jesus on Monday, January 28, 2013, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. A loving and hard-working farmer's wife and homemaker, she served as a cook at North Union for 8 years. She was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a 1939 graduate of Agosta High School in New Bloomington. Gladys enjoyed cooking and rose bushes, and her pumpkin pies were a favorite of her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and will be remembered as a faithful and devoted caregiver to her husband when he was alive. She was born May 24, 1921, near Big Island in Marion County to the late Charles William and Clara Bertha Schlect Rush. She married Bernard R. "Bunk" Amrine on June 19, 1941, in Lima, and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2003. She was also preceded in death by a 3 ½ year old daughter, Sandra Sue Amrine, an infant sister, Roberta Lou Rush, 4 sisters, Betty Webb, Glenda Cline, Rosella Waters, and Frances Farquear; and 8 brothers, Forest, Robert, George, Marion, Willard, Gloyd, Lloyd, and Stanley Rush. Survivors include her children, Ronald (Sharon) Amrine, West Mansfield; and Janice Amrine, Leipsic; 5 grandchildren, John A. Warren, Jr.; Melinda "Mindy" (Richard) Buettner, Bradley (Chastity) Amrine, Kaitlyn Louise Amrine, and Courtney Meilan Amrine; 5 great-grandchildren, Emily Sue (Josh) Brentlinger, Renee Buettner,Miranda Buettner, Chyenne Amrine, and Gavin Amrine; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Haylee Jo & Joseph Kyle Brentlinger; a sister, Dorothy Brown, Bellefontaine; sister-in-law, Rosalyn Rush, Marion; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Mannasmith-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home, 222 West Center St., West Mansfield, OH 43358, where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Jack Fetter will officiate and burial will take place at Raymond Cemetery.
