Glen Buettner

February 5, 1950 — October 22, 2018

Glen G. Buettner, 68, of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly Monday morning, October 22, 2018 as a result of an accident in Delaware County. Glen liked to camp in his free time, which was not often as he enjoyed staying busy, whether it was woodworking on his own, working in the shop with Chris or expanding the kitchen a bit with some new bay windows without consulting Terri first. A 1968 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School, he served stateside in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Glen worked most of his life as a body shop mechanic where he might have affectionately earned a little bit of a reputation as a perfectionist. Not one to sit still, after retiring from the body shop he started helping his son Chris at Buettner Farms. Born February 5, 1950 in Lima, he was the son of the late George F. and Mary D. (Wrasman) Buettner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jeff Martin. On May 1, 1998 in Gatlinburg, TN he married Terri J. (Geho) and she survives in Bellefontaine. Also surviving are his children, Chris (Heather) Buettner of West Mansfield, Deanne (Jarvey) Bailey of West Mansfield, Casey (Jamie) Holloway of Upper Sandusky, Connie (Brian) Skinner of Delaware and Chad (Cathy) Holloway of Richwood; grandchildren, Madison, Miley, Elliott, Grahsyn, Austyn, Casey, Jr., Rion, Carmen, Adrian, Grant, Brooke, Candace, Cenlee and Cain; a sister, Donna Martin of Gomer; brothers, Steven (Linda) Buettner of Delphos, Dean (Joyce) Buettner of Delphos, Jeffrey Buettner of Cridersville; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and companion, Baylee. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday. Burial will follow at North Greenfield Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted by the Logan County Honor Guard. Memorial contributions in memory of Glen can be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
