Harold T. "Bussy" Bendler Harold T. "Bussy" Bendler, age 77, of Marysville died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was employed for many years with General Industries and in his retirement worked as a security guard with Memorial Hospital of Union County and as an attendant with Swifty Service Station. Bussy was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was a member of VFW Post #3320 and a former member of the Civil Defense. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was born December 10, 1935, in Lebanon, Indiana, to the late Harold and Ida Conrad Bendler. He married Donna Jean Jacks on December 5, 1974, and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2012. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Patty Morris and Kate Bolenbaugh, 2 brothers, Larry Bendler and Chuckie Bendler, and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Foley. Survivors include his children, Harold Bendler, Grayson, KY; Jackie (Peggy) Bendler, Delaware; Nancy Bendler, Donald Foley, and Charles (Debra) Jordan, all of Marysville; Linda (James) Fortner, Virginia; and Patricia (Bill) McOrdle, Rick (Paula) Foley, Robert Foley, and Cheryl Cook, all of Richwood; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Rae (Ruby) Bendler, Dickson, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. At Mr. Bendler's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Following cremation, burial will take place at Claibourne Cemetery at a later date.
