Jesse James Shock, 14, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Grove City from an accident while swimming.
He was a freshman at Marysville High School where he was a member of the wrestling team. Jesse was also active in Jiu-jitsu and enjoyed playing video games, swimming and studying Japanese culture. An avid reader, he not only kept a collection of the books he has read, he also had quite the collection from all of his other interests. He formerly participated in football, baseball and soccer, was known to watch the same movies over and over, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Born February 2, 2009 in Columbus, he was the son of Tom and Julie (Holsapple), and they survive in Marysville. He is also survived by family members, Jenna Shock and Jared Shock, both of Marysville, Casey (Julia) Beatty of Plain City, Jacob (Brooke) Chapman of Marysville, Jacquelyn Chapman of Cincinnati, Clay Holsapple of Johnstown, Lana (Holsapple) Shaffer, Darcy (Holsapple) Bretz, and Riley (Dafne) Holsapple; along with numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Lana Holsapple and Aunt, Debbie Holsapple.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Marysville. Funeral services will be held privately for the family at 11:00 A.M.
