Kathleen Ann (Hannebaum) Wise Lucas, 58, lovingly known as Kathy, passed away at her residence in Lakeview, OH on March 15, 2024, following a brief illness. She was born on March 3, 1966, in Redlands, CA to Roberta (Hartman) Hillock and Richard "Dick" Hannebaum.
Kathy was a compassionate and nurturing homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. Her creativity and generosity were the cornerstones of her personality, shaping her role as a devoted wife to Stephen Lucas and a beloved mother to Anthony, Andrew, and Breianna. She took pride in using her artistic skills as a form of communication, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
A 1984 graduate of Redlands Senior High School, Kathy's journey took her across the globe due to a Military Transfer to Kaisersslaughter, Germany before eventually settling back in Missouri and finally in Lakeview. She embraced each new chapter with grace and resilience, cultivating memories that will be cherished forever.
Kathy is survived by her dear mother, Roberta Hillock of Prattville, AL; sons, Anthony (Jessica) Wise of Deland, FL and Andrew (Amber) Wise, along with grandson, River Wise of Spring, TX; a daughter, Breianna Lucas of Columbus; sisters, Lisa (Bruce) Headrick of Millbrook, AL and Nancy (Dan) Walker of West Mansfield; nieces and nephews, Amy Headrick of Montgomery, AL; Stephan (Allie) Headrick of Sarasota, FL; Katherine (Kelson) Corbitt of Prattville, AL; Patrick (Summer) Headrick of Bradenton, FL; Dalton (Kylee) Stallings of West Liberty; and Kaylyn Stallings of West Mansfield; great nieces and nephew, Tyler Ruth and Silvia Nolen of Millbrook, AL and Eren Stallings of West Liberty; along with many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard and her husband, Stephen.
Kathy's presence brought light and warmth into the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services held at this time. A service to celebrate Kathy's life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
