Kathleen Streng Kathleen Streng, 85, of Marysville, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born December 25, 1928 in Summit Station to Harley and Estella (Appleman) Sampson. She is survived by her sons, Cary (Cindy) Streng of Springboro; Gerald (Sharon) Streng of Marysville; daughter, Debrah (Brian) Miller of Springfield; grandchildren, Bobby (Izzy) Streng; Vicki (Gabe) Tincher; Brian Streng; Brent Roby; Sarah Williams; Jeanne (Steve) Vannatta; Ritchie (Crystal) Streng and Angie (Greg) Worley; a sister, Wilma "Babe" Brown of Marysville; a brother, Richard "Buzzy" Sampson of Richwood; sister in law, Margena Howard of Haines City, FL; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1946 graduate of Broadway High School, she was a home maker and a seamstress, an election day precinct worker for over 25 years, a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the 79'ers, the Altar Guild, Care Committee and the Homemakers group. Kathleen enjoyed sewing, gardening, crocheting, cooking and baking, especially her "great pies." On April 30, 1947 in Catlettsburg, KY, she married Robert "Bob" Streng and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1998. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Midge Brown, Mary Zeigler and Ruth Streets; brothers, Howard and John Sampson; infant twin sisters; brother and sister in law, Harold and Maria Streng and sister in law, Martha Marsh. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Mannasmith Funeral Home with Rev. Kathy Reiff officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the funeral home.
