Kim E. Vazquez, 62, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Kettering Health Center in Kettering following many months of failing health.
A devoted wife, loving mother and sister, she was a wonderful homemaker for her family. She had a giving nature, and was more than willing to help someone whenever possible. She loved to watch sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, and she also enjoyed crocheting, camping and playing games. Kim was a 1980 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School.
Born January 14, 1962 in Bellefontaine, she was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Sharlene K. (Burden) Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jason R. Fotou.
In 2001, she married her loving husband of 23 years, Miguel Vazquez Figueroa, and he survives in Dayton. She is also survived by her sons, John (Barbara) Fotou and Osiris Fotou, both of Dayton; a sister, Shelley (Jerry) Corwin of Belle Center; a brother, Andy (Lee Ann) Gibson of Huntsville; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Millcreek Cemetery in Raymond. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
