Larry Eugene Giles, 53, of Indian Lake, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, with his family by his side following a month long battle with COVID 19.
Born June 18, 1968 in Marysville, he was the son of the late Rodney Giles and Madelyn Kessler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Eric Giles and many other family and friends.
He worked as a tugger operator with Univar Solutions at the Marysville Honda Plant.
He enjoyed cooking, caring for his salt water fish tanks, modifying his car, fishing and going to Columbus with his sister on the weekends to try new restaurants. Larry enjoyed having a clean home and was always wiping something down or spraying Lysol. He had an amazing green thumb and was always caring for his house plants. One of his biggest joys came from taking care of his American Bully, Sassy. He enjoyed her company and treated her like a child. He loved hosting family get to gathers and telling stories of his time spent in Florida. He considered himself Ohio born Southern raised. Larry may have seemed quiet to some, but to his family and those who knew him best, he was funny and his love was loud.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew (Toniann) Giles and Kory (Toni) Giles; his granddaughters he so lovingly adored, Gabriella, Sophia and Summer Belle; a sister and best friend, Terri Giles; a brother, Mark Reed; nieces and nephews, Brittany and Robert, Samantha and Clay, Erica, Makayla, Maddie, David, Tiffany and Wyatt, Bridget and Steven, Cori, Caitlyn and Casey; great nieces and nephews, Hayden, Hannah, Anierra, Dakota, Dallas, Paydon, Keelan, Tayson, Lori, Laney, Waylon, Kendall, Vivian, Mackenzie, Isabella, Jackson, Lillian, Harper; his fur baby, Sassy and numerous other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 15, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel 621 W. Fifth St. Marysville. Reverend Ed Beale will officiate and burial will follow at the York Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service on Friday from 12:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
