Laura Jean Mullaney Grooms Laura Jean Mullaney Grooms, age 86, of Marysville, formerly of Raymond died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at The Gables at Green Pastures following an extended illness. She served as librarian for the Marysville Public Library and was a lifelong member of the Raymond United Methodist Church. She was born September 27, 1927, to the late Jay W. and Laura Husted Mullaney. She married Albert L. Grooms on June 26, 1948, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Joe Detwiler, Marysville; her brother, Rev. Fahy Mullaney, a son and three daughters, seven grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
