Lori Colwell

Lori Jo Colwell, 60, of West Liberty, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

A loving homemaker to her husband and children, she was a 1978 graduate of Marysville High School. In her earlier years, she worked at Stockdale/Community Market, did clerical work at various offices in Dublin and Marysville, at a bank, at K-Mart and as a dental assistant in Marysville. A faithful member of the Old Union Church of Christ, she was also a member of the Heart of Ohio Sussex Spaniel Club where she served as treasurer. An avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football team, she loved tending to her flower gardens, crafts of all kinds, working with her dogs and birdwatching at the many feeders surrounding the house.

Born February 14, 1961 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Paul Richard “Dick” and Lois (Huey) Wolford.

On July 6, 1991 in Marysville, she married her husband of 30 years, Jeffrey Colwell and he survives in West Liberty. She is also survived by her son, Brandon (Chelsea) Colwell of Springfield; grandchildren, Teegan, Madelyn, Alyssa and Amelia Colwell; a brother, Rick Wolford of Marysville; a sister, Susan (Mike) Barry of Knoxville, TN; 5 nieces; a nephew and other extended family, friends and church family.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel 621 W. Fifth St, Marysville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Old Union Church of Christ 19980 Raymond Rd. Marysville. Pastor Fred Bowman will officiate and burial will follow at the church cemetery.
