Martha Joan Coe

Martha Joan Coe, 93, of Marysville, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Prestige Gardens, with her loving family by her side.

A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, she was previously employed with Rosemary’s Hallmark, the Truck Stop Restaurant in New California, Sunshine Cleaners and Shasta Rent-to-Own.  She was a member of the Ostrander Presbyterian Church and was a 1949 graduate of New California High School.  She and her husband were members of the Farm Bureau.

Born June 9, 1930 in New California, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Esther (Fry) Hinderer.  On February 4, 1950, she married her husband of nearly 59 years, Donald Robert “Don” Coe, and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry Coe, sisters, Donna Hinderer, Stella Hughes and Doris Fields; and a brother, Donald Hinderer.

She is survived by her children, Tony Coe of Marysville, Gloria Coe of Ostrander, Cheryl (Mike) Hack of Marysville and Roger Coe of Ostrander; grandchildren, Tyler Coe, Chris Coe, Daniel (Surbhi) Coe, Jordon (Justin) Lowther, Chase Coe and Morgan Coe; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Alex, Madison and Danielle; sisters, Mary Thompson of Lewis Center and Hazel Lincoln of Woodstock; a sister-in-law, Edna Hinderer of Plain City; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Martha’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel.  Rev. Greg Menssen will officiate and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2:00-6:00 P.M.
