Mary Belle Huey, 89, of Marysville, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.
A graduate of Marysville High School, she remained active in the High School Alumni Association. Mary Belle was a loving homemaker for her husband and children, and she was always active in her children’s sports and music activities. She was also a faithful member of the Old Union Church of Christ, a longtime 4H Advisor, and a member of the McGuffey Literary Club.
Born January 31, 1932 in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothea (Crabbe) Hamilton. On December 30, 1956, she married her husband of over 43 years, Raymond F. Huey and he preceded her in death on February 23, 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Georgeann Hamilton and Estelle Hamilton; father and mother-in-law, Floyd and Leone Huey and a sister-in-law, Lois Wolford.
She is survived by her children, Celeste (Joe) Ryan of Waynesville, Flora Ann (Dee) Stump, Joseph Huey, Mike (Theresa) Huey and Phillip (Vicki) Huey all of Marysville, and Andy (Kathy) Huey of West Mansfield; grandchildren, Sarah Ryan, Michael Ryan, Ethan Huey, Michael Wyngaert, Ajia Gillum, Shannon Deardorff, Katrina Fox, Joe Gonterman, Colleen Woodcock and Kayli Lewis; 7 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Ferguson of Marysville and Rachel McMullen of Pickerington, and her sister-in-law, Lucille (Leonard) Belville of Delaware; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family, church family and friends, and her fur babies, her beloved cats Jasper and Tippy.
Friends may call Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 2-6 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Old Union Church of Christ. Fred Bowman and her son, Joe Huey will officiate and burial will follow at the church cemetery, Old Union Cemetery.
