Marylou Werst-Ogan, 50, of Hilliard, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Dublin Methodist Hospital.
Marylou loved helping others in any way she could, which made her a perfect fit for working with the children in the SACC program in the Hilliard City Schools. A devoted wife and mother, she loved to spend time with her family, enjoyed crafting, playing games and playing cards. She was also a faithful member of the Millcreek Church of Christ.
Born December 21, 1968 in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Huber) Werst. On June 25, 2016 at the Millcreek Church of Christ, she and David L. Ogan, Jr. were married by Jack Knox.
Marylou is survived by her husband, David; children, Kheira Drouni of Hilliard, Zach Drouni of Hilliard and Haley Ogan of Pennsylvania; sisters, Bettylou Werst of California and Luann Werst of New York; an uncle, Leonard Werst of Dayton; brother-in-law, Jessie Ogan of Worthington; mother-in-law, Julia Ogan of York Center and a special friend who was like a stepmother, Barbars Schmidt of Pennsylvania.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Millcreek Church of Christ. Jack Knox will officiate and burial will take place at a later date in New York with her parents. Memorial contributions can be made to the Millcreek Church of Christ.
