Phyllis Gross

Phyllis Benedict Gross, 77, of Florida and formerly of Middleburg, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her residence in Florida. A homemaker, she worked in retail for several years at Wal Mart, TG&Y and served as a Dollar General Store manager in Florida. A member of the Millcreek Church of Christ and VFW Post 3320 Ladies Auxiliary. She attended West Mansfield High School and enjoyed reading religious books and traveling. Born December 1, 1938 in Union County, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Mildred (Phipps) Benedict. Phyllis was also preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Henault; a daughter, Claire Henault and two sisters. Surviving are her children, Yvon Holloway, Penny Thomas, Marianne Merrill, Timmy Henault, Geraldine Henault, George "Buster" Henault, Debra Beltz and Denise Virgin; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Michael Mathys and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Millcreek Church of Christ. Jack Knox will officiate and burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service from 10-11 AM. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Mannasmith-Schnurrenberger Funeral Home, West Mansfield.
