Rebecca J. "Becky" Andrews Rebecca J. "Becky" Andrews, age 64, of Ostrander died unexpectedly Monday, June 17, 2013, at her home following a battle with cancer. A loving homemaker, Becky was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the love of her family and helped create a lifetime of happy memories for them. She loved the tranquil setting of her home and enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and sitting on her front porch. For many years she and her family enjoyed vacationing to Ruggle's Beach at Lake Erie where she helped teach her grandchildren to swim and shared her love for sailing and fishing. She was a 1966 graduate of Whetstone High School and will be remembered as a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing and quilting. She will be missed beyond measure. She was born July 11, 1948, in Mansfield to Richard and Wanda Creswell Taylor. She was preceded in death by her father and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Esther Andrews. Her mother survives at Heartland of Marysville. Along with her mother, survivors include her husband of 40 years, George Andrews, to whom she was married on April 7, 1973, in Worthington; her daughter, Deborah (Jeff) Boyd, Ostrander; her son, James (Erin) Andrews, Plain City; 4 grandchildren, Allie & Connor Boyd and Taylor & Clara Andrews; her brother, Wes Taylor, Powell; sister-in-law, Jayne (Bruce) Holder, Canal Winchester; 2 brothers-in-law, John Andrews, Plain City; and Bill Andrews, Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Mannasmith Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service on Friday. Reverend Paul Schlueter will officiate and burial will take place at Jerome Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Union County Honor Guard.
