Rhonda L. Nelson

Rhonda L. Nelson, 62, of Marysville, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Born January 19, 1962 in Yellow Springs, she was the daughter of the late Les and Barb Parker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson and a granddaughter.

A graduate of Zanesville high School, she went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Columbus State University. Having a love of children, she worked as a daycare provider for 18 years and as a tax accountant for the last 10 years. A woman of faith, she was an active member of Zion Christian Fellowship Church in Powell and formerly attended the Christian Assembly Church in Marysville. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

On February 1, 1995 in Marysville, she married her loving husband of nearly 30 years, Nathan Nelson, and he survives in Marysville. She is also survived by her children, Kandie Baker of Bellefontaine, David Baker of Zanesville, Michelle (Cody) Mercer of Kenton, Kellie (Ryan) Angles of Marysville and Nattalie Nelson of Marysville; 10 grandchildren; 3 sisters and a brother. 

Services to celebrate Rhonda’s life will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Zion Christian Fellowship Church 10405 Sawmill Rd. Powell. A graveside service will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the church.
