Rhonda Preston

Rhonda K. Preston, 53, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Union County. A woman of strong will and character, Rhonda loved helping others. She would volunteer at the food pantry and help those in need during the holidays. She enjoyed reading, writing, coloring and making little care packages for family and friends but her biggest joy of all was being involved with any and all of her grandchildren's activities. Born June 18, 1963 in Columbus, she was the daughter of Frederick Watts and Patricia (Long) Walker. A 1981 graduate of Marysville High School, Rhonda was a loving homemaker to her husband, children and grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her father and her sisters, Wendy and Tammy Craner. She is survived by her mother; her husband of 34 years, James Preston, whom she married September 3, 1982 in Marysville; children, Jacealynn (James Huffman, Jr.) Preston, Emily (Dustin) Bailey, Kimberly, Johnna and Jimmy Preston; grandchildren, Breanna Byrum, Kyle Huffman, Kailynn Rotroff, Jesse Huffman, Macie Shoemaker, Sophia, Isaac and Blake Bailey, Byron Stapleton, Chloe and Molly Coy, Natalie, Tessa, Hayley and Jenna Preston; sisters, Sherry Donavan and Dorinda "DJ" Preston and a brother, Gregory Watts. Friends may call from 1-3 and 5-7 on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home-Mannasmith Chapel where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. Burial will take place at a later date.
