Robert McColloch, Jr.

Robert L. "Pup" "Joe" McColloch, Jr. 65, of East Liberty, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He enjoyed drag racing, tractor pulling, going to car shows, collecting cars and tractors and traveling on his Harley-Davidson, but he truly loved spending time with his family, especially attending all of the activities he could of his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. A 1971 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, he was a lifelong farmer and also worked as a construction inspector for the State of Ohio Department of Transportation for 30 years. He was a life member of the national HOG Association, member of HOG Motorsports of Plain City since 1985, founding member of the Central Ohio Antique Tractor Pullers Association, member of the Ohio State Antique Tractor Pullers Association, the Logan County Antique Power Association, a proud member of the Democratic Party and a volunteer member of the Perry Township Fire Department. Born October 3, 1953 in Bellefontaine, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Beulah M. (Lucas) McColloch, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Monna Coles. He is survived by his companion in life for 36 years, Sandy Wilcox of East Liberty; a daughter, Jessica (J.D.) Gibson of East Liberty; grandchildren, Kane and Kaelin Gibson; brothers and sister, John P. (Cindy) McColloch of East Liberty, Catheryn N. (Jim Smith) Whitmore of Lakeview and John E. (Marilyn) Coles of Lorain; nieces and nephews, Johnny (Rhonda) Coles, Michael (Kim) Coles, David (Shanel) Henry, Cara (Judson) Murray, Jean (David Brunke) Reames and Rebecca McColloch; great nieces and nephews, John-Michael, Angel, Dylan and Dalton Coles, Mason Coles, Morgan and Camden Henry, Neve Murray and Conner and Xavier Reames along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday. Reverend Linda Dulin-Moore will officiate and burial will follow at East Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you consider a donation in memory of Pup to either the Chief Montgomery Memorial Scholarship Fund or East Liberty United Methodist Church.
