Ruth Eileen Johnson Ruth Eileen Johnson, 87, of Ostrander, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Heartland of Marysville. Born January 30, 1927 in Huntington, WV and growing up in Unionville Center, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Rhoda (Porter) Johnson and a 1945 graduate of Unionville Center High School. A hard worker and outstanding mother, she was always there for family and friends alike. Ruth was a loving homemaker for her children until the last started school, then she worked at L-K Restaurant, Zimmerman's Fruit Market, Carney's Department Store, K-Mart in Marysville and the Marysville Public Library. On November 24, 1946 in Unionville Center, she married her loving husband of 66 years, Harold Johnson and he preceded her in death February 28, 2013. Also preceding her in death were a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bob Clements; a brother, Chester Johnson; a step brother and his wife, Roy and Ernestine Harless; a grandson, Adam Lake and a granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Salyers. She is survived by her children, Janice (Tom) Kocher of Bucyrus, Linda (Gary) Salyers of Marysville, Mary (Mark) Miller of Westerville, Sharon Lake of Hilliard, Joe Johnson and Bob Johnson of Ostrander; grandchildren, Cindy (Rob Perry) Kocher of Urbana, IL, Tim (Amy) Kocher of Pittsboro, NC, Christina (John) Gladden of Galena, Keith Salyers of Westerville, Marc Miller of Westerville, Adam (Maggie) Miller of Cincinnati, Jared (Sarah) Miller of El Paso, TX, Danielle (Aaron Diver) Lake Diver of Cloquet, MN, Nikki Damron of Plain City; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Mannasmith Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at the Unionville Center Cemetery.
