Ruth Ann King Ruth Ann King, age 60, of Marysville died Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Milcrest Nursing Center following a three-month journey with breast cancer. Ruth was employed 17 years in the Purchasing Department with Honda R&D and previously was employed with Eljers Manufacturing, BMY, and Siemens. She was a member of the New Dover United Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth received her GED at age 30 and realized then that she was an intelligent, capable woman who could excel at whatever she chose. She enjoyed much professional success and served as an inspiring role model for her family. She enjoyed co-ed softball and bowling in her younger years, and in recent years enjoyed caring for her rosebushes and weekend gambling getaways with her husband. Always devoted to her family, she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren and created many special memories, especially when teaching them all to fish or gathering them in to prepare and share holiday meals. Although she was taken from them much too soon, her family is comforted to know that Ruth took the time "to smell the roses and watch the birds." She will be missed beyond measure. She was born June 20, 1953, in Marysville to the late John Joseph and Helen Mae Mummey Smith. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Larry Smith and Danny Smith, and a half-brother, Virgil Webb, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, John King, to whom she was married on November 22, 1972, at the Marysville First United Methodist Church; her 4 children, John (Tracy) Simpson, Ft. Myers, FL; Tonya (Greg) Spires, Raymond; and Tracy (Tony) Blumenschein and David (Melissa) King, each of Marysville;12 grandchildren, Reagan Simpson, Allie Spires, Danny Simpson, Sierra Spires, Ben Wilson, Shae Adams, Nick, Luke, Andrew, and Alyssa Blumenschein, and Caleb and Sarah King; a sister, Cindy Smith, and a brother, John Robert Smith, each of Marysville; several nieces, nephews, and friends, two very dear friends, Nancy (Smiley) Ward, Kingman, AZ; and Brenda (Rick) Clouse, Marysville; and her Honda work family who provided Ruth with so much love, support and encouragement through her illness.
