Sharon Kay Bymaster, 74, of Marysville, died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her residence. Always with a beautiful, welcoming smile on her face, Sharon enjoyed being around family and friends, filling their lives with laughter. She loved to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in any activity, especially their sports. She also enjoyed her flowers and gardening. She attended Marysville Grace Church and was a member of the Eagles. A graduate of Springfield High School, Sharon and her husband managed the Bishop Animal Shelter in Bradenton, FL. Upon moving to Marysville, she then worked as the manager at Pizza Hut for 15 years and later as head cook at the Marysville Exempted Schools. Born March 27, 1942 in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late David R. and M.V. June (Stevens) Canter. A devoted wife, she was also preceded in death by her husband of nearly 40 years, Dale Bymaster, whom she married in 1968; a daughter, Diana Newhart; a sister, Tena Hopper and a brother, Robert Canter. A loving, caring mother and grandmother, Sharon is survived by her children, Cheryl (James Hughes) Compton of Marysville, Darrin (Jennifer) Bymaster of Marysville and DeVina "Tootie" (Robert Jordan) Michael of Richwood; grandchildren, Jason Newhart, Lee Newhart, Derek (Amanda) Logan, Josh Bowshier, Mathew Newhart, Dari Logan, Dylan Bymaster, Raymond Bymaster; 14 great grandchildren; a sister, Melanie (Michael) Grout; nieces and nephew. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home-Mannasmith Chapel. Brother Paul Reynolds will officiate and burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the funeral home.
