Stephen V. Taylor Stephen V. Taylor died Thursday, January 23, 2014. Eighty years ago he was born in Sidney, Ohio, to Victor and Katharyn (Stephens) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel, and is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughter, Sheryl; son, Seth; and grandchildren, Lilly and Luke. Stephen earned a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Cincinnati and a master's degree in aquatic zoology at The Ohio State University. After college Stephen worked in construction, for WLW, and for Stamco, completed a three-year tour with the Navy Seabees, and then joined the Ohio EPA. All the skills and experiences he developed over the years culminated in a new job at Camp Christian in Magnetic Springs, Ohio, where he retired in 1998 after nineteen years' service as superintendent. Stephen attended Saint Andrew Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dublin, Ohio, where he was a faithful choir member. He was an accomplished craftsman and a friend to all dogs. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Saint Andrew Christian Church on February 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the Stephen V. Taylor Memorial Fund c/o The Richwood Banking Company, 28 N. Franklin Street, Richwood, OH 43344. This fund is designated for the purchase of trees to be planted at Camp Christian.
