Susan Yvonne "Sue" Yanok

Susan Yvonne “Sue” Yanok, 76, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital with her loving family by her side.

A 1964 graduate of John Marshall High School and a 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University, she worked in sales with Sears Department Store for 30 years. A loving mother and doting grandmother, she loved spending time with her family and friends, attending all of her children and grandchildren’s activities, camping, traveling (especially if it included going to the beach) and crafting.

Born September 27, 1946 in Akron, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alberta “Bertie” (Snell) Strader. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, James “Jim” Strader, Tom Strader and Clancy Strader.

Sue is survived by a son, Robert J. (Patrice) Yanok, Jr. of Hardy, VA; a daughter, Theresa “Tracy” (Jason) Hix of Prospect; grandchildren, Justin (fiancé, Tirah Nelson) Hix, Tiffany Hix, Payton Yanok and Wyatt Yanok; along with nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the Liberty Family Center 102 S. 7^th St. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351. Pastor Scott Moore will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Liberty Family Center. Wilson Funeral Home 621 W. Fifth St. Marysville is assisting the family.
