Vickie A. Furlong

Vickie A. Furlong, 58, of Pickerington and formerly of West Mansfield, passed away early Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the Kobacker House in Columbus with family by her side, following several months of failing health.

A devoted wife, loving mother, adoring mamaw and beloved sister, she loved doing crafts of all kinds. Ceramics and knitting were some of her favorites and she loved passing on her talents and knowledge of crafts to her grandchildren. Vickie was always ready for a trip to the beach where she could be near the ocean.

A 1982 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, she worked at Siemens in Bellefontaine for 18 years.

Born April 20, 1964 in Celina, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Garvick) Vagedes. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, David Furlong and a brother, John Vagedes.

On February 14, 1981 in West Mansfield, she married her husband of over 41 years, David Furlong and he survives in Pickerington. She is also survived by a daughter, Tabitha Furlong of Pickerington; a son, Joshua (Ashley) Furlong of Zanesfield; grandchildren, Myriah Massey, Myliegh Massey, Mycah Massey, Brantley Furlong and Amelia Furlong; a brother, Fred (Suzie) Vagedes of Coldwater; sisters, Debra (Thurman) Allmon of Indian Lake; Sue (Tim) Brewer of Zanesfield, Kathy Fout of Bellefontaine, Paula (Jeff) Fout of Belle Center and Rhonda (Terry) Cook of East Liberty; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Vickie will be held from 2-5 P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the home of her son, 7599 S.R. 559 Zanesfield, OH 43360.
