Wilma J. Noonan, 96, of Marysville, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024 at the Alzheimer’s Care Center in Columbus.
A born-again Christian and a woman of strong faith, she was a former member of the Marysville Nazarene Church. She worked for Ranco, Marysville Brush and the Smith Equipment Company in Florida. She will be fondly remembered for her morning trips to Burger King, evening trips to McDonald’s, her almost daily walks at WalMart and her joy for dining at Herschel’s. A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed baking, especially cookies, puzzle books, sewing, and also both driving and riding in cars. She was formerly involved in 4H in her younger years.
Born June 11, 1928 in Union County, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Evelyn (Warner) Drumm. On September 4, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marysville, she married her husband of over 48 years, Donald F. Noonan, and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Syferd; sisters, Gloria Oates, Wanda Henry and Marilyn Brown; and her brothers, Stanley, Donald, Lloyd, Pearl, Carl, Arthur, Richard and Robert.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Syferd of Hilliard; sons, Donald (Elaine) Noonan of Urbana and Travis Noonan of Columbus; grandchildren, Greg (Kelly) Syferd, Amity Syferd, Jeff (Dusty) Noonan, Jonathan (Amber) Noonan and Jason (Andi) Noonan; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Rodney (Patsy) Drumm of Pottersville and Francis (Marie) Drumm of San Bernadino, CA; sisters-in-law, Laura Swearingen and Martha Swearingen; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Funeral Services for Wilma will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 11:00 A.M., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifewise Academy at Triad Local.
